I stayed at the Windjammer the last time I went to the Higher Ground. It was perfect because it was practically next door. Does anyone know how far away the Doubletree is from the HG? Is it within walking distance?

GPN shows as headliner

I see that there are 3 shows as as part of the BD tour where GPN is scheduled to be headliner -
we just can't make those east coast shows.
Now that I see the Fillmore in SF on Dec 13 as just a GPN show, my mind is wandering -
what other GPN shows could we possibly even consider?
The Fillmore looks like it may be possible.....just looking at options......
wondering......hoping......gotta go see GPN somewhere this year......

Just read this article on Billboard.com (check ThisIsSomeWhere) about GPN opening up for some shows on Brett Dennen's fall tour...If you go and look at Brett's myspace page he has dates from October through November out of the country. Anybody have anymore info. on this??? This doesn't seem right. Thanks for posting any further insight.

I have always wanted to see Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. I missed them in Albany. I missed them in NYC. Who would have thought I would have to return to the Laurel Highlands of western Pennsylvania and my hometown of Johnstown to see them Friday night at the Flood City Music Festival.
My credentials may be suspect because I am not fluent in song titles or in band members' names. All I know is this music has a rich, righteous heart that hits the sweet spot over and over.

I found out about this show at the very last minute (would not have thought anyone of interest to me would be at the state fair) but was able to make it happen. GPN were slated to open for The Wallflowers so it was always going to be an abbreviated set.

To say that this venue is perfect is an understatement. What a gem of a venue - it seats 300 and every seat really is a good one. Up on the mezzazine Gary, Carolyn and I enjoyed a rare back of the house night of GPN an it was a treat. Had my own personal dancing space, and todd - you would have been proud of me - dancin my fool butt off up there!! Dinner and drinks were also served up there making for a total feast of the senses.

Loved it.

Another victory for MapQuest!...delivered me to the heart of Brooklyn, no prob

My last appointment was in the Worcester area ending around 11:30, so that was a great starting point for the trip to Prospect Park. Changing into, well, shorts and a tee shirt in Sturbridge, traffic is ok on a Friday early exit. Sure, the usual construction hangup near New Haven, and slow thru Stamford, but other than that it's a reasonable cruise. I have never been to Brooklyn, never crossed the...

Didn't think it could get any better after the Chicken Box, but Nectars - what a place! The murals and photos on the walls!
