Susan tore it up at Rams Head last night. She played a lot of songs off new cd, Back to the River. She did a nice cover of Eric Clapton's "Presence of the Lord" I got cd signed and a pic with Susan after the show.

Went to Portsmouth, NH to see Keb' Mo' last Wednesday. Very, very good show . . I love Keb's gentle smooth blues anyway but his humor - even when dealing with an equipment malfunction - added even more to the evening.

It was the first show of his tour to promote his new album Live & Mo' that is being released today 10/20. We were able to buy it that night and I'm really enjoying how the mix of live and studio tracks captures the feeling of the...

Local Providence newspaper is running a series on the Folk and Jazz fests. Since we all like things like the Vibes, Hunter Mt, etc......you can thank one guy for inventing the concept.....George Wein the man who created the Newport Jazz and Folf festivals.

Not sure if there are any Keb' Mo' fans reading here or not . . but since Portsmouth is doable for some figured I'd post it.

The Music Hall is the venue . . . know some are familiar with the Hall since I went to my first GPN show there (Feb 2008) and remember seeing a few yellow shirts.

Rutland, Vermont is not in the middle of nowhere. It just seems that way when the last 45 miles to get there is 2 lane. It has it's own little slice of urban sprawl east of town on Rt 7, and a nice little downtown area, boasting a little honey of a theater, The Paramount. Fully restored to the splendor of its gilded heyday, and seatin 850 on two levels. And across the street, a hippy coffee/sandwich shop, as well as a loud bar featuring Italian food. I opt for coffee and a sandwich.
