Okay. After the short night of sleep, the long day, and then losing an hours worth of posting, I just
can't get the afternoon sleep in that I plan. I lie down, and I'm just grinding about the lost post. You would, too. So no catch up sleep today..before
the 2:30 hour ride to Troy.
Approaching the club, there is a long line down the sidewalk, yet I snare a parking space one off the doors. Walking to the end, I get in line, and as it moves
past the restaurant, John comes out and joins me…and shortly so do John and Katie from Lake Placid. When we get to the door, I step out of line to stay outside
a while longer. Soon enough, Bobby comes by and pulls me in with him, thanks Bobby!
Revolution Hall is in an industrial little section town. And I would say it is one of the places anyone of us would love to have as their "home
turf". Small square space, high stage, with a balcony on the three sides that face the stage. Great sound..the only improvement would be to get the PA
speakers up off the corners of the stage and suspended.
As we gather down front, delighted to see Jen doing final setup for Blues and Lazers. I missed part of their set last night, and want o see it all. But, I am
realizing the lack of sleep is taking a toll. My eyes are burning, legs feel leaden, and I'm tired. GPN will not take the stage until 10:30 and staying to
the end will be a late ride home. A dangerous ride through The Berkshires. I make the painful decision, for the first time, to leave early. After a few Noc
songs, I'll go. Discretion is the better part of valor…leave and live to WRITE another day. I pains me, but it is the right decision.
BNL turn in a smoking set…at one point Benny comes over to fan off Scott. Post show,Jen comes out into the crowd to greet me and I tell her my plan. She
disappears, returning a few minutes later with 2 cans of coke. "Caffeine" she announces. I inhale one immediately, and place the other on the stage
for the ride home.
And after the first 4 songs at the B-3, Grace comes forward for "Meantime". Bryan ranges a little forward on this, and at it's conclusion I head
to the back, and up the stairs to say hi and bye to Mr & Mrs Siennaluke that I spied in the balcony. "Joey" is the soundtrack for this quick
excursion and is finishing up as I say bye to Nicole & Jen at the merch table.
Getting in my car, I put the windows down; it's about 70 degrees and humid. I can hear a song coming out thru the doors..I don't recognize it from
here, so I head back in to catch "Right Place, Wrong Time" Now I can go.
Trip home? Uneventful. Left later? Who Knows?
