Ok guys, I was searching for versions of Mystery Train and I came across Grace Potter. Holy crap! I can't believe I haven't heard her before. This band
is freekin' amazing. So as a new fan, which album should start off with?

Listen to them all - definetely, until they come back out from recording hibernation. Then when they do you must see them live. RUN don't walk on out to
the nearest show you can find, This is a band that absolutely MUST be experienced live to appreciate all that they are. And they have much musicianship to
appreciate!

I have my favorites from all their CDs - you can't go wrong if you buy all 3, plus the new live downloads - you will love them all!

ONE MORE SUGGESTION...if you go to www.iclips.net, look under "festivals"...there are some FANTASTIC live
performances caught on tape there. Jam Cruise, Mountain Jam, and another one I can't think of right now. anyway...VERY GOOD LISTENING...and most fun to
watch as well. check out #8 on the Mountain Jam..this is when the band on the stage next door started their sound check during Grace's solo on Nothing But
the Water...she gets mighty pissed and hurls her tamborine at them...one of the best moments in GPN history if you ask me!!

yep, I stand corrected...All Good IS where she throws the tamborine.
Mountain Jam is where she wore the top hat. I guess it isn't on iclips.net so I guess on iclips, you can find the Nocs at All Good 2008, Voodoo Music Experience, Jam Cruise 6, All Good 2007...or so they say. I do see a link to Mountain Jam, but it is not archived...YET! LOVE YOU TOO WALLY!! |

I will jump on the bandwagon to also suggest the following albums: ALL OF THEM.
As for live shows from archive.org, the Burlington Waterfront show this summer (8/16) was pretty kick ass if you ask me! There's so much material out there and I love it all. |

If you don't already know Grace Potter, you must get to know her. I
first heard her at a bar in Vermont called Red Square. I was walking down the street and was drawn to the music. I would have to say, many were taken by her. One year later the band was signed after playing Bonnaroo! I introduced her to a co-worker of mine and she said, "grace potter rocks out had a beautiful voice and shes straight up awesome....YaY GP." Hey tipiboy, Apparently, I should be writing about Grace & the Nocturnals on other web-sites. I'm a little new at this and I am trying to get
new-listeners into the music. I used to live in Burlington, but have since moved around a bit. I don't get back up to Vermont as much as i'd like too.
Love the 1/2 Lounge, I hope the show was great.
